When 2 Become 7

How many ladies out there remember the Spice Girls song when 2 become 1? Heh. So here is a picture of my amazingly wonderful and spectacularly handsome husband. Normal, though he may appear, something happens at night that is completely abnormal and unnatural.
You might think that he has just 2 elbows my friends, but no. In the middle of the night when you are sleeping and shifting positions to get comfy, not 1, not 2, but probably around 7 elbows are blocking EVERY SINGLE comfy position. Not cool man. I'm sure there are some knees and toenails in there as well. It's like a barbed wire fence. I'm just sayin'.

Another Birthday?!

Somehow, birthdays at the Teed household always manage to get dragged out for 3-4 days. We had a birthday party for Mabel on Friday. On Saturday she got to pick out presents with the money she got from grandma and grandpa Teed and play with the presents she already got from friends. And on Sunday she got to open her presents from Mom and Dad and Grandma and Grandpa Moran. Here she is with her new cooking set baking muffins for her birthday breakfast.

She is such a cutie! I love her so much and I can't believe she's 4!!! She thinks everyday is her birthday now.

Princess and Pirate Party

So for Mabel's birthday this year, I decided to do a party. It was mostly for me, not so much for Mabel. I wanted to make it pirate themed, and she was all for it. But then I asked her if she wanted to dress up like a pirate or a princess, and of course the princess won. BUT, we invited boys, so we made it princesses and pirates. All of the games were pirate games and I even dressed up like a pirate and drew a mustache on my face. I think most of the kids were like, what is the primary president doing with a mustache? But I had fun and that's the point right? It was all about me...I mean Mabel.
This was the best cake I have ever done. Not because it looked the nicest, but because it took me about 35 minutes to decorate it. I thought it would take hours!
So it is really interesting watching your children develop their own personalities. Lately I have noticed Mabel is becoming the giggler. She giggles at everything! It is really cute. She starts giggling and everyone else has to laugh too because it is infectious.
Here they are playing pop the cannon ball.
They did a treasure hunt and had to find tokens along the way. This is Randy in his pirate outfit(I got him to dress up!) helping out.

Cake time.
Charlie was a pirate too and I gave him the cutest little mustache!
Here are the kids enjoying the cake. We did face painting too.
Here is movie time at the end. The kids really got into it. Silence...
I asked Mabel what her favorite part of her party was and she told me the cake. What a good girl!

Random

Since I haven't posted for awhile, I have to play catch up. And I have a bunch of pictures that I just think are cute. The kids in their costumes.

The kids ACTUALLY playing nice together and having fun!

Charlie eating doughnuts for treat after Family Home Evening.
Charlie eating more doughnuts.
Charlie crying because we took the bag of doughnuts away after he ate like 5!
I should also mention that if you thought he looks like a stud in that sweater, it is thanks to Grandma Teed who knitted it. Thanks Grandma Teed!

Fair Time

Fair time. Overpriced rides, greasy food, and the ever convincing carnie's. Gotta love the fair! Charlie's favorite ride was the swing. He screamed when we took him off.
The kids were terrified of the animals.
And Faye smiled.

Dance Class

Mabel started a dance class that is amazing. It took me awhile to find one that was priced right, not too serious, and where you could actually watch them dance. It is perfect. This was bring a friend to class week and she brought her friend Holly. So cute!

Child Play

I was cleaning the other day and I walked into the room to discover Mabel looking like this.

Interesting placement of the stickers. Inocent child, or exotic dancer? You decide.
